Another sell-out success!

We did it again! Following our sold-out season at Artworks Theatre on Waiheke, Waiheke On Stage transferred Stones in His Pockets to Auckland for a limited season at Q Theatre on Queen Street. And audiences loved it.

And we couldn’t have done it without the support of our sponsors Island Direct and Mana Tahapehi from Bayleys Waiheke, and our private donors. Thank you.

All funds raised by this production have been donated to the Waiheke On Stage Foundation Supporting the Vibrant Theatre Scene on Waiheke

E L L I N G

Join us at Artworks Theatre, Waiheke for this very special scripted play by British comedy writer Simon Bent based on the Norwegian novel and film by Ingvar Ambjørnsen.

Since its premiere, Elling has been performed internationally, winning audiences with its rare combination of comedy, tenderness and emotional truth. Simon Bent’s stage adaptation captures all the eccentricity and warmth of Ambjørnsen’s original characters while asking a deceptively simple question: what does it take to find the courage to live an ordinary life?

Tickets go on sale through iTICKET from 14 September and will also be available at the door, subject to availability.

A Tour of the Halls: Shakespeare’s Ladies speak on Sundays

Bringing back an old Waiheke tradition – from a time when all our ‘villages’ were not as well connected as we are now, and a Sunday afternoon ‘show’ was an event not to be missed,

As a fundraiser for the Waiheke On Stage Foundation, well-known lady thespians will perform the wonderful monologues written by Harriet Walker in her recently published book She Speaks! A wonderful romp through the things that Shakespeare’s ladies might have said, if only the Bard had permitted them to say what they were really thinking.
